hmm, i have used, err, i mean i know someone who has used low dose G for , um, perhaps 10 years and gets laid 3-5 times a week and would go for more! The only effect that i have noticed is that it can interfere with orgasm. A little histamine seems to do the trick.

YEs, but you can easily forget about sex with that stuff. You can still get laid, but it takes the "edge" off! Plus, I believe that prolactin and lowered libido is documented.

I posted this link quite a while back in response to a question by Monkeyballs, who used to be a fellow Beehive State resident. These are suggestions given to young men and women of the LDS (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, i.e. Mormons) faith when they go off on their missions.

Although the suggestions are directed primarily at avoiding masturbation, I think they are applicable to curbing libido in general.

(Please note that this post is intended to be somewhat jestful. That should be obvious, but I've learned never to take anything for granted when posting on the internet.)

Seriously, there are a lot of things, like progestins that are given to sex offenders, that curb libido. Probably one of the most practical effective means with no side effects in terms of body composition would be a SSRI like Prozac or Paxil. I've seen figures as high as almost 50% for the incidence of libido loss and overall loss of desire, lower sexual activity, arousal, orgasms, and less overall sexual satisfaction when using Paxil. Prozac is not far behind.

And it might even help you get over the depression that often accompanies breakups. ( Unless you really wanted out, I guess.)

Go on a very low carb diet, your T will plummet. Combine it with over training and lack of sleep. that will keep your mind off of women for a bit.

I have never heard of, or experienced any loss of libido with GHB, but I dont take it as you are saying.

I have to agree with Nandi SSRI's kill it dead, esp citalopram (cipramil).

Any tips on lowering libido, keeping in mind that the goal is to gain muscle and not lose it, and that I'm natural.

Use a 5AR blocker.

The idea is to focus on gaining muscle for a while, so that's not an option.

Good things come to those who weight.

Unfortunately that would shut down HPTA, which would not be conducive to my goals. I'm also not sure that constitutes being natural.

Any personal experience ? Because I'm scared as hell I will get dependent on this crap. I saw both my mom and my sister succumb to this stuff, and it seems they get depressed when they don't get their daily fix. Sure its all in their heads, but still.

Nah, I didn't want out, I'm one of those guys who thinks you can always work things out (life will stomp the naivity out me one day I suppose) but things didn't go that well in the end, so I doubt it will take me very long to get over it.

If number 6 works, that would kick ass. Would definitely go well with what I'm trying to achieve. Think I'll start packing snacks to go everywhere. And isn't chocolate supposed to like have similar effects ?

Wouldn't increased prolactin lower testosterone?

I have tried several ssri's neither lowered my libido, effexor did but that is a SNRI. If you have time you could try a couple different and see if any of them has that effect on you.

He could just slip the GHB in girls drinks.

I know this was meant as a joke-- but don't drink if you're using GHB. This can be dangerous.

Are you saying GHB delays ejaculation?

I experimented with Prozac when it came out many years ago to see if the claims that it makes one "better than normal" were true. In my case, I experienced nothing but said lack of libido.

Everyone responds differently it seems. Some experience no change in libido or sexual function. Others maintain libido but are unable to perform while the opposite occurs in some users. As you are likely aware, it is a fairly effective treatment for premature ejaculation.

So you would have to see which category you fall under, and as Qrios suggested experiment with different SSRIs or other classes of antidepressants.

To my knowledge there is no evidence that these drugs are addictive. Psychological dependence may be another issue, though.

Qrios, I don't think he wants to lower testosterone.

Nobody mentioned stimulants. ECA helps the CNS get great workouts and had, in me at least, very pronounced libido lowering effects. Same goes with clen and similar.
SSRI's may be an option, however prozac did not lower my libido, it only prolonged my lasting power.

GHB will lower libido substantially. It is often used as an "enhancement" for sex in smaller doses because it allows the male to last longer. This is probably due to the raising of prolactin levels.

I had this in mind when I asked if increased prolactin wouldn't lower test.

EC gives me a hard on all day long, same with clen, cocaine or any similar type of stimulant.
