I just got my blood work back (doc made me get it done b/c I have high BP, and I am only 24) everytthing came back perfect except for 1 thing which is Alkaline, Phospatase, Serus. Normal level is 25-150, mine is 231. Doc said it was a liver value but didn't really explain it to me (hes a real douchebag). I assume it's high b/c of the Fina/Test that I am taking. Just wanted to see if this was something I should really worry about or have some of you guys had a reading this high. I figure I will just buy some liver support pills and drink more water. BTW he also prescribed me 80 mg a Diovan/day for my BP. Anybody ever take this stuff b/c he said it could cause erection problems. Try explainiing that one to your GF LOL.

B/P meds cause erection problems to some people. You can notice or you cant notice at all. Anyway dont take DP meds because you BP is induced by roids or water retantion maybe or some high BF. I dont know what med is that but you should try something very mild for BP only when you on roids. Dont jump to BP meds so fast. For your age even a essential BP is not treated with meds. Ussualy doctors ( good one) try other cures (mild diuretics, herbal mix etc..) I dont know too much about you / cycle /body fat but you are too young to take BP meds.

Lots of things can elevate serum alk phos. It is not a very specific test but a high value can indicate liver dysfunction. Alk phos is always high in someone who has a healing bone fracture or in kids who are growing and have lots of bone growth and bone turnover. It can be higher in BBers too because of the increased bone stress caused by weightlifting. In your case it is probably from your cycle and should normalize after you go off the cycle. Try some milk thistle if you are concerned about it. Diovan is a good BP med but probably not the best choice for your situation. I'm sure you didn't tell your doc about your gear use. Your high BP is most likely steroid induced so you should only need to treat it during cycles. HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide, a mild diuretic) would have been a better choice in your situation. Keep in mind that any BP >140/90 is considered high. Take your BP at Wal-Mart or somewhere. If it is >140 systolic or >90 diastolic for 3 consecutive times in a week, take the Diovan until you go off cycle and it normalizes. Doc

I did not tell the doc about my gear use. He did ask me if I was taking any of "those muscle making stirrrroids" though. My BP has been pretty high, 150/90 usually, but I have gotten readings as high as 170/100. I figured I would stay on the Diovan until my cycle. Thanks for the advice.
