I had some blood tests last week and went in today to get the results. Everything looked good and healthy except for my cholesterol.

My HDL was at a 9 and LDL was 165. I know this is pretty bad.

I'm in my 5th week of Test Cyp 750mg per week, deca 500mg per week, 50mg proviron.

I did Dbol the first 4 weeks. At the time of taking my blood I was on my 4th week of dbol. Is my cholesterol this bad from the dbol?

Or will it stay this bad now that I'm done with dbol and only doing test and deca?

How concerned should I be? The doctor was hitting me with a file folder and was telling me to stop right now. She was quite concerned about those levels.

What advice do you guys have for me? Should I but back to 500mg of test? Or should I get on meds until my cycle is done?

Thanks.

By the way, I had been doing 30mg/day with the dbol.

I'd discontinue the dbol and watch your diet closely in the meantime....

Cut out your fats significantly, and add Omega Fish oils to the mix daily...don't think about it, go out and buy them and start them asap....

Really watch your meat intake, get rid of fatty meats, and eggs for a bit, see if you can get it under control. Up your fibers. Eliminate sugars and alcohol...that should do the trick.

If you don't get it under control, try something like Lipitor, or another prescription.

Well, if your doctor DOESN'T know you are on, you would simply get a script for Lipitor and move one. Telling her can have some risks (so can NOT telling her).

Mine is always crappy, so it is all a matter of degrees.

Here are some suggestions.

1) Niacin, one gram twice a day. There is actually research evidence supporting this and your doc would suggest this if she wasn't freaking.

2) Diet - lower in the bad fats (transfatty acids are the worst) and more of the good (fish oil, flax seed oil). No fried food. Some note that this is tied to inflamation, and so suggest low sugar as well (sugar isn't good for you so I don't eat much anyway). Avoid processed foods. Grilled chicken, veggies, fruit, fish, whole grains and eat till you puke since you are bulking. Reallly, my bulking diet is pretty close to my normal diet in terms of what I eat - I just eat MORE

3) Fiber. Take metamucil in a drink twice a day. This actually should reduce the bad cholesterol by about 7% or so if memory serves.

4) Cardio. I always do 15-30 minutes of cardio after I lift. It helps with my BP and it also will help increase your HDL.

I have always had crappy cholesterol readings. With Lipitor and the rest of this, mine is about 175 total (HDL is still a bit on the low side). And that is with 2 grams a week of supps.

for me, cardio does more than anything else to lower my total cholesterol and improve the ldl/hdl ratio.
