Got some homebrew from a friend the other week . I have not yet used it,but he has . he has gotten two infections, and said the gear is very very painful to inject and the next couple of days after. Can I do anything to fix this problem or is it just bad ?

Sounds like the BA might be too high which would help make it very painful.

If he is getting infections easily than it doesnt sound like it sterile at all. Infections can come from other reasons but this is the most common way to get them.

If I want to add flavor to my cooking. . . . . . . I just burn it

I was told that if I put in the oven @250 degrees for 15 min take it out let it cool and do it again three times that I will "re-sterilize" the gear. Is this true ? will doing that lower the "potency" of the test ?

Gotta agree with this. It's not worth it to try to sterilize it by heating and run the risk of getting a really nasty infection.
