Hi guys im new to the forum. Been reading a lot,so thanks for the information.

I am currently racing a small 120km kermese during the week and a professional race most weekends. How often to should you take b12? without blocking yourself too much before the races

Thanks

I don’t know to much about Vit B12 but did not realize it had a blocking effect?? Can you maybe elaborate madtrack?

I take the occasional Vit B12 shot the evening before a race and I take 1 Solar Nugget e/d. Some times I’ll take one Nugget after the race again, just to kick start my immune system, don’t know if that make sense??

But if this is not helping my performance or blocking me some how I'd like to know about it.

Google found this one study that suggest VitB 12 don't have any effect on Performance.

B12 will not effect performance unless u have a B12 defecit. It is wise to supp B12 if racing and training hard;B12 defecit anemia is more common than we think.Too much B12 can have a minor adverse effect on some;some people go mad with it and even shoot IV;they are basically wasting their time and money.I always get my level checked and supplement accordingly;have found solgar sublingual to be more effective than 2x weekly IM shot. After using sublingual for 2 months level was 1250 pmol/L which is a good solid level for training and rracing.Even 2x nuggets E/D with food is ok.M/track

Also ask Doc to check B12 levels as a precautionery measure;it is not expensive test at Lab. M/track

Thanks for the info MT, I love the Solgar product range and will start incorporating V2000 as well. I use the BCAA from them as well.
