So right now I am running low dose Accutane to combat an acne problem that I let go longer that I should have. The only side effect that I have gotten is that my joints, especially shoulders/elbows seem very dry and fragile, especially when I am training MMA. Will any supplement help this feeling and the burning I get within my shoulders when training hard or am I just asking for an injury? I just started taking Glucosamine at 1500mg/day Chondroitin at 1200mg/day and MSM at 1500mg/day. I also started taking flax oil caps to help. Does that sound about right?

?GS or Jb, I was making note of those sups you are taking for your joints, Glucosamine at 1500mg/day Chondroitin at 1200mg/day and MSM at 1500mg/day, with a combination like that will you see results somewhat quickly, week or 2 or do you have to take those sups for months to see results. I would be intrested in knowing if they indeed helped your joints, shoulders, elbows, etc.
Thanks

Aflutop! Check it out. I use when I ramp up my run volume. I have used 3 cycles of it to date. Inject ed for 21 days and you are good for about 6months. Actually starting a cycle next week.

BKK...does it just help the injection site or every joint?

I've heard good and bad about aflutop.

Where do you get it at and how does it compare to adequan?

adequan is actually a pharmaceutical preparation, aflutop seems to be fish oil. Unless it is really inexpensive i would stick to larger doses of the glucosamine regimen and fish oil caps.

BK tell us more about your experience? on other sites the reviews are wildly mixed.

dbl: clinical levels of glucosamine are seen as quickly as 2 days while effect are highly individualized and can take anywhere from 2 weeks to several months. there is, however, clinical evidence of improvement,

Thanks Jb, Had to look up Chondroitin, all 3 together appear to be a good combination.

Started taking it a few years back after a "bad flight experience" fucked up my knees. My knee where really banged up and I was sick if taking pain killers and NSAIDS. I was told about Aflutop and took it ed for 20 days and started to feel "better" after about 5 days. What I noticed first was that my knees where not as sore at the end of th day. By the time I finished the cycle I felt great. Debated the gluocosomine route but did not want to take mega doses throughout the day. I still use glucosamine at 1500/day 500 3 times daily, and swear buy i but when for maintenance. But as my volume begins to increase I definitely feel it. Next week will be the beginning of my fourth cycle of Aflutop. IMO the stuff is great. Hope this gives you a bit of insight. Peace.

The best I've found is $4.20/1ml amp.

so about $100 for 20 day cycle. well, if the gags are not helping and this stuff does for 6 month periods that would probably be a good deal. Not a lot of clinical support for it and certainly the posts on the internet are wildly disparate. I guess this would fall into the class of "try it and see if it works for me". I would certainly not just ignore it, i religiously take liv-52 and feel for me it works better than NAC and Silymarin. Not a lot of clinical support for it but it works for me and i am willing to pay for it!

keep us posted.
