hello all,can anyone give me some input please.....I seemed to have injured myself for the first time since im training ,i did a bicept workout and was very sore at the top of my left arm the next day (top of bicept)thought i just got a good workout.a day later i went to point to the other side of the yard we were working at and, ouch!!!! lowered my arm back down in a lot of pain that seemed to last 20-30 mins before decreasing.had a doc friend of mine dig around my tendons with is fingers and rotating my arm everyway you could imagine,he said i have lots of scar tissue and he believes its my bicept tendon but does not think its compltetly torn, also said i should do rotator cuff with training ,my question is can i train trough this?what should i look out for?i was finally making great gains the best i have ever done.Im so pissed its been 1 full week no upper body just legs. PLEASE! Any advice???????thanks in advance

well he said it could be partailly torn but doesnt think so,i had no MRI done he just dug around with his fingers.how he comes to that conclusion i can only guess, swelling and pain would be much worse,i dont know.It actually feels much better than it did i have full range of motion as i sit here and very little pain and i think its from the bruising from the exam...it hurt like hell him digging around in my joints,he said on one hand if i do train and have pain to stop..obviously!and it should take 6 weeks for connective tissue to heal.so i was hoping to get some advice, thank you for your tim jb. what do ya think i should do?

You should be able to do some upper body work soon avoid exercises that cause pain in the affected area and quit doing barbell curls.

liftsiron is a fictional character and should be taken as such.

Dozens of exercises for chest, shoulders, triceps and some back exercises that don't effect the bicep. Rest the injury.

Yes, that's right.

it actually affects my shoulder because the tendon connecting from my bicept to the bulb in my shoulder?i think thats what doc said.he had me a bit confused there because i thought its a rotator cuff injury, anyway today i bought a ultrasound kit off the web, hope it helps,if any of you guys had a similar injury could you tell me how you rehabed the injury. The doc i saw told me some rotator cuff sets (rubberband)to do but hes not being clear on exactly what i can do. actually i must admit i seem not to be able to hear him tell me take time off!lol ...thanks guys for looking over my problem, appreciate it!
