I do 3-4 times per day when trying to lose fat.

if you don't like traditional cardio, try the following from a recent crossfit workout. This is one round for time. each set has deadlifts at 1.5 bodyweight, bench at body weight, cleans at .5 body weight. There are no stops. first round is 10 of each exercise in turn, second round is nine of each exercise, etc until you finish last round of 1 of each exercise. I scaled this to 275 DL's, 185 BP, and 135 Cleans. To do this workout I took a power cage, one bar, and 2X45 and 1X25 for each end of the bar, and one bench on wheels. I stacked the weights on each of the bar with a 45, 25, and 45. I stripped the plates for each exercise and then reloaded the start the next step. There are no planned breaks till all the rounds are complete from 10 to 1.

I was soaked in sweat at the end. I was just gassed a few times during the workout and just picked up when I got some recovery.

And we'll collect the moments one by one. I guess that's how the future's done. Feist, "Mushaboom", 2005

4-5 times weekly, 30-45 minutes each session, moderate to high intensity, switch from hybrid ellipical to bike each week. Usually do a 15 mile off road trail bike ride on saturdays if I can.

The older I get, the more I enjoy cardio. Having a 3 year old, an infant, and running a couple businesses, listening to some great tunes and doing cardio clears my head after a good workout(and hard day).

Started adding it to the beginning of workouts for a couple of reasons: (1) I wasn't doing it on off days and (2) I've got a few nagging injuries (torn trap & rotator cuff). Doing the cardio first tires me out, which decreases the amount of weight I can use...

I find cardio before I lift makes my lifts just that much better. I mean sure it wears me down for about 15-20 minutes. But when the energy comes back man does it come back 2 fold. Then im good for the next 2 hours should I choose to lift and then go back to more cardio.
