Has anyone ever purchased one of these. I hate going to the deli every other day and asking for a couple pounds of turkey shaved. Whenever I tell them that, they always glare at me, heaven forbid I ask for 5 lbs at a time. So I have decided to buy a slicer. Been lookin on the the net and there a a lot of brands out there, anyone tried any???

sorry, never bought one.. TO get a quality one like the deli, you would need to go to a wholesale kitchen supplier and pick up a used one or perhaps find one on ebay.
Another big advantage to slicing your own is that you can cook your own and avoid all the salt you get in deli products.
