Vazquez E. Comparing Oxandroxyl and Anadrol-50. Posit Aware. 1998;9(4):49-51.

ABSTRACT

AIDS: Oxandroxyl and Anadrol-50 are both oral anabolic steroids approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and they are competing for market share in the world of HIV treatments. Both are described as "open label" drugs and as such, are prescribed to reverse wasting and metabolic complications associated with HIV. Anadrol-50 is among the most potent steroids ever developed for building muscle, and study participants gained an average of 14.5 pounds for each 100 pounds of weight. Early studies indicate minimal side effects with liver toxicity, but that is not a certainty since oral anabolics are known for liver toxicity. Many studies have documented Oxandroxyl's safety and effectiveness in treating HIV wasting. It is metabolized in the kidney and acts without the masculinizing side effects associated with other steroids, such as Anadrol-50. One study showed an average weight gain of 24 pounds following 8 months of treatment. Oxandroxyl is the best choice for those at the earliest stages of AIDS wasting syndrome. However, when a more aggressive treatment is necessary, Anadrol-50 is stronger, less expensive, and more effective, but liver function must be monitored closely.

I was reading this yesterday while searching for sonic's answer. The first part of the abstract is misleading, IMO, because their conclusion states that anadrol is much stronger and more effective.

Maybe I'm a little tired of working right now , but isn't it really stronger?

Yes, it is stronger. There must have been a variable in the study that we are not able to find in the abstract.

i think that we should say that anadrol is stronger at the doses normally taken, if you took 100mg of Dbol, for instance, you might see equivalent gains. if your liver held out.

I dont think anadrol is stronger than dbol, mg for mg, personally.

Cant comment on var, as I've not used it.

I think 50mg per day of Dbol is more effective than 50mg per of oxy.

People still hold oxy in high regard, but I dont know anyone who takes just one per day, 3 is a more usual doseage, (150mg).

Yet I dont know anyone who takes that much Dbol.

And surely checking liver enzymes before, during and after cycle.
