Originally posted by Mister Grim I have the same problem, always have. Doesn't matter if I've got 1 25-plate on each side, or 3... it always hurts. Taking time off from doing preachers will only make you weaker in the preacher curls, once you return to the weights you were using before, the pain will return also. So, just deal with the pain. Im all about " pain is only weakness leaving your body" but im sorry i dont think you have had the same pain in your forearms. I did fight through the pain and ended up in a cast for 8 weeks. Seriously take a break from the preachers and experiment with finding something else to use in place of them.

Same shit bros. Mine scream! It feels like to bone is splitting. I ease up for a few days, eat gym candy (asprin) and the pain goes away. I try to listen to my body - if the muscles hurt from work its cool, if it feels like an injury - not cool. Joints and bones bother me when I hurt them. They take too much time to heal. Learn your body's signs. Be safe!

Oh, I see... your pain is WORSE than my pain. I see. Shit, it's not like I don't know what it's like to take over a minute to unwrap my fingers and slowly release the bar after a set. Well, than for god-sakes... stop training so hard and do other shit. Whoopidy-do. BTW. Do you actually think it was the preacher curls that put you in a cast for 8weeks? Or was it your loose, sloppy form on preachers and other movements? Or tossing around more iron than you should have been.

i got it too but basically its from muscle growth happening at a faster rate than your bones can handle. so like if you gain slow and steady your less likely to get it. its like shin splints and only way to get rid of it is rest, ice, and time.
