Im thinking that my 30 mg a day might be cut short to six weeks as I have been reading more and more that Anavar can be quite taxing on the liver.. what are your thoughts

17aa steroids are equally hard on the liver mg for mg... so 5mg of anavar = 5mg of Dbol = 5mg of Anadrol etc...

Anavar does not contain a C-17 alpha alkylated ion which makes it extremely safe and non-toxic to the liver. From research conducted by Michael Mooney that this is particularly well noted with HIV patients who have been using Oxandrin, another brand name for oxandrolone Anavar is much less liver toxic than other 17-alpha alkylated steroids, probably because it is primarily metabolized outside of the liver, when metabolized, and much of it is excreted unchanged. At higher doses it can increase liver enzyme values, there seems to be no evidence that any cytotoxicity exists, as is the case with other 17-alpha alkylated steroids. cachapa

Not sure how to answer if it is as hard as dbol.....but I will say this, I did an 8 week cycle of anavar at 30mg ED (yes low dosage) then "bridged" thru post cycle with 30-40mg ED of anavar and got bloodwork done while I was on the anavar and my liver values were normal. Doesn't mean anavar isnt hard on the liver at all, but just sharing personal experience

Anavar has virtually no liver toxicity, even at doses as high as 80 mg a day. It's even been given to patients suffering from liver cirrohsis.

Oxandrolone has been found to be reasonably safe and effective for children and for people with alcohol related liver-disease. No other oral steroids have shown the same beneficial ratio between sides effects / therapeutic results. Though is a 17-alfa-alkilited, mg x mg seems to be safer then d-bol and winstrol, considering both liver toxcity and lipid profiles adverse effects. Only primobolan is safer then oxandolone, but it do not lead to the same retain in muscles glicogen therefore is not as effective as oxandrolone for strenght increase and muscle ipertrophy.

The primary cause of liver problems is alcohol consumption..not steroids. keep away from the booze and you can safely consume large quantities of oral steroids for long periods. In the Michael Mooney research he found HIV patients taking Anadro; had no elevated enzymes after 6 months of a daily dosage of 150 mg.
