Eat Right4 Your Type is a new book by Dr. Peter j. D'Adamo that I have been reading, which basically holds that some foods normally ingested by everyone will be toxic to some, ending in health problems.

Dr. D has researched blood for his lifetime, having taken over his fathers' life's work. This is all based on facts, as blood type is recoverable in human remains as far back as humans can be found. The first appearance of blood type was type o, the universal donor, which has no antigens,these were "cave-men",so this is considered a meat eater blood type for the most part. They are less susceptible to the agglutination of blood caused by the lectins in different foods.

The book holds that blood mutated as peoples traveled, according to their diet as well as changes in environment, all based on facts..archaeological facts, found in human remains. Type A was during the transition to crop growing, type B cropped up about the same time, in peoples that went the opposite direction from type A's. Only 1200 years ago was AB type blood to come on the scene....

Long story short, I highly recommend this easy-to-read and very informative book. If I were a student, this would without a doubt be my next project. Some of you will not likewhat the book recommends diet wise as you will at first think it counter productive to your goals. (ME) MsBricker has an aunt whom I have known for 15 years, she has always been dumpy....not now...I got this book from her as I was intrigued at her beautiful skin and shapely body transformation...she is 50-ish!! You will find a wealth of information in this book that will aid you as a bb, such as which foods will spike your insulin and why....I am a type A, not to have much dairy, but have been on heavy dairy all my life...this is why my joints ache, because there is an allergic type reaction going on in my body every time I use it, the lectins in milk agglutinize (basically, clot) the antigens (things that recognize other cells as friend or foe, and act accordingly by grabbing them) in my blood.

Before I close, one more thing that I found most interesting: Lets take me and msbricker, who is an "O"...I can eat something vegetarian that says i.e. 70 calories on it....and its GONE almost immediately, used up. If my wife as an "O", eats it, it will be LIKE NINETY (90) TIMES more calories in her system...hard to use, and will make her fat....or it will be up to 90 times more toxic. Fortunately, she as a type O has no antigens..so she can eat LOTS of things meat and dairy...This explains why some diets will work for some, while others never lose. Bottom line, this is not a "diet", you may eat ALL you want, and this does not only just affect weight..it is about putting the right food FOR YOUR TYPE in your body to optimize its function....after all, a diesel and a gasser are both motors...but trade fuel and see what happens.-B 😧

good read that book....im an "o", so the original blood type, should eat high protein, lots of meat and nuts...... but i thought that dairy was supposed to be restricted with o's..... when im offseason and drinking heaps of milk, eating lots of cheese etc. i get bad exema(sp?) on the inside of my elbow joint.

exactly...I have not read it enoughtobeab le toquote what you canand can't have as an "o", but ICAN tellyou you're lucky.....you can eat MEAT, whereas chicken (baked) is about the only meat, save fish, that is supposed to be optimal for me..and I can't even eat catfish! This guy actually TESTED EVERY FOOD (rather its lectins) against the antigens of the three that have them (no antigen w/ "o" to cause reactions) and I guess even the o type as well....so this is not dreamt up. Basically the wrong foods clot you up.... o yeah,you can have all the SOY milk u want, and SOYwhey you want..ewww (but me too)
