He is going by both, he running a test once a month to see where the levels are but also asking me how i feel.... He will not do pills though. Said they are way to bad for my liver....I guess the 50-60 mg's of d-bol's a day weren't to good for it either. What also helps is when he gives you the scrpt for the patches and the gel don't use them........he will then go to the injectables....lol Worked for me.... DMW

DMW :nono: :biglaugh: :nono: :biglaugh: 😀 Ive been thinking the same exact thing bro...if he prescribes patches or gel. Save them for a rainy day, keep the levels low, and there is no choice but the shots. (I deny making the above statement) UPDATE: My PCP called and let me know he is setting up an appointment with an Endo. (This could be good or bad). He mentioned something about doing a sperm evaluation before prescribing test. I guess the reason here is to see if I happen to be sterile in the first place. So whatever happens, happens....either way I think I am required to blow splooge in a cup for them. If they dont have the latest issue of JUGGS or HEAVY HANGERS it may just be a long afternoon all alone in that room.:biglaugh: :biglaugh: Does anyone here know the purpose of checking my sterility? I mean, if the effects of test are reversible, whats the point? I dont want kids anytime soon. Now that i think about it...I may just be sterile given the all the times I went bareback with GF's with no pregnancy result. Sterility may just be my higher power watching out for me for all that time... Anyways...I appreciate all your guys' imputs!!! FOX

And I am wondering exactly where yours are at. Your just a cunt hair over the bare minimums, so logic tells me youd be around 310 TOTAL on the 300-1000ng/dl scale. Either way...both our readings suck and we need the Upjohn. Have you been "supplementing?" FOX

There is a new form of testosterone for HRT. Brand name is Striant. It is testosterone buccal tablets. 30mg taken every twelve hours.

Have you been "supplementing?" FOX A lot of labs use different measurements and different scales. It is very annoying that there is no consistancy between labs. Maybe picomoles is used more in Canada, I don't know for sure. Most labs will at least put the reference ranges on the results so regulardless of the measurements, you should be able to tell where you are at. All I do know is that I am at the bottom of the barrel and it sucks. You are probably right that my levels would equal the low 300's. Can't wait to see what my T levels are on HRT.

I have a good question that hasn't been brought up yet in this discussion and I hoped that some of you more experienced at hrt could answer. What happens when you have been on hrt for maybe like 2 or 3 years, will it keep shutting your own natural production down so that you could never go off hrt if you wanted to, especially in the case of a 24 year old that could equate to 60 -70 years worth of hrt. Thanks for any ideas on this!

Jackal, That's one reason you should use HCG with HRT bro so that your balls keep working and your body still produces T on your own. I'm 30 and I wonder what years of HRT will do to me but right now it beats the alternative (feeling like shit because of not being on HRT).

That sucks bro, maybe you should find a more understanding doc. There are lots of good online docs out there that are happy to work with you over the internet, why not try one of them? Email Powerscript from this board to enquire or PM me.

I think that the only real major drawback to HRT for hypogonadism, is that it is questionable whether a PSA is an accurate way to screen for prostate cancer. Some of the larger studies seem to indicate that not only is it inaccurate, but that guys with hypogonadism have higher rates of prostate cancer. There has been some talk of fine needle biopsy being the only accurate way to screen for prostate cancer for hypogonadal men. Peace

Hey BUFFDADDY, is this Striant available in the US ? or are they still doing the preliminary studies? I wonder how effective HRT would be using that route.... Peace

I figure that I'll let him give me the gel for now because if I try to get him to write a script for depot it'll mean another series of blood work which will interfere with my do it yourself HRT.. online docs aren't really an option because my ins won't pay for it..
