I don't have the cites right in front of me but i'm pretty sure it wasn't sponsored by a supplement company (it was a web search and I pulled it up from an academic site as opposed to culled from an advertisment, also I would think no one really has a vested interested in sponsoring blind studies using 3 grams of aminos you'd figure if you were going to pay for a study to sell aminos you'd at least tell them to take more, there were no recommendations as to the amount of aminos but just that 3 grams was helpful). Just my opinion. I haven't taken a side on this cardio issue yet. Really, steady state aerobic activity doesn't burn a hell of a lot of calories anyways. So its not as if a half hour brisk walk first thing in the morning is going to 'cancel' out any net growth from your strength training. Furthermore, provided an adequate diet your body has enough resources stored to handle a brief light to moderate amount of exercise without taping into tissues. Serious catabolism occurs after days without food. On the other hand ... as I mentioned ... aerobic activity doesn't require a lot of resources so whether you do it am or pm ... doubt you'll see a noticable difference. I haven't anways. As for your second paragraph ... universities make money through research ... they are education instititutions as another stream of income ... consider this ... a lot of dairy and cattle farmers ... you think your going to find a bunch of vegetarian researches around here ? Hell no. Its all about the benefits of milk and beef. My nutrition instructor teaches on the side because she works for Milk. Thats not objective if you ask me. So you have to be careful.
