i think the point hes trying to make is that americans have by far the highest percentage of overweight and obese ppl in the world... they have the highest rate of adolescent and pre-adolescant obesity... over 71 million americans, one quarter of the population, has some form of cardiovascular disease... and
the FDA says that only btwn 1 and 5 percent of americans get the minimum 3 servings of veggies per day etc.

i mean the list can go on forever... in short i think its pretty fair to say that americans are prolly the most unhealthy first world country on earth

There's a couple places near me that offer brown rice alternatives for sushi. Usually wrapped in seaweed given the lack of sticky starch in brown rice vs white rice but the brown rice alternative is much healthier.

depends on the sushi/sashimi you eat... and of course, the preparer.
most sushi/sashimi is excellent for you, high protein, low fat (but the fat it has is usually good fat), the rice is high in carbs... but there isn't normally a LOT of rice and if there is.. just don't eat it all.
also if you look at the food coupling of sushi/sashimi... hi protein/hi carb/low fat... while carbs are high, fat is low and protein is excellent... sounds like a post workout shake almost.

Sushi rocks, even if it is high in fat, it is alot better than hitting up McDonalds or some other fast food joint. I hit the sushi place every friday. I get off work, have a quick nap, hit the gym for abs and 45 mins cardio, then head to sushi. Usually will eat about 25 pieces a sitting. Enough to fill me up and it only costs me about $15

I watched a show on that Japanese Hot dog eater and it went through him training for the Coney Island competition, and he was at an all you can eat sushi place in Japan, fucker must have put away 100 pieces in 15 minutes and that was just him warming for the real training to come later on.
