What do you guys think is better Whey protein or Egg and milk protein?? ๐
whey is superior
Whey. . .
i'd imagine it would depend on when/for what your using it.Casein breaks down slower so with flaxseed oil it makes a better "goodnight shake", where as whey absorbs faster making for better use in recovery after workout.
Whey all the way ๐
Mr sinister is right on the money. A lot of companies push whey as being the magic potion of the new millenium - it's jsut fricking protein!!!! It isn't miles and miles better than other forms, and quite frankly I think it has its place, but also is not ideal in some situations. After a workout, I think it is the preferred choice. In the morning or after a period of not eating, probably half whey and half soy or egg would be a better mix. At least in my opinion and from my experience this holds true. Adapt your protein for what you need. Another reason why you can't neglect real food either. IronMike
i would have to say for me the answer is D) all of the above i also like to mix in liberal amounts of pussy protein just for the hell of it! JUICE ON!
It doesn't really matter. If you rely on egg whites or milk protein (which is whey+ caesin BTW), over whey you aren't going to see any difference. Don't believe marketing hype. As long as you taken in enough complete proteins or incomplete proteins that compliment each other (eg beans and rice)you'll have the tools necessary for muscle repair. Unless you just eat fruit or eat fewer than 1500 calories a day like a nine year old girl, you almost cannot take in too little protein. Don't believe the protein companies. REad scientific data in the field of nutrition.
I agree with the above post. Unless you're a pro and competing for Mr. O i don't think the breakdown of whey vs. Casien protien is that big of a deal. Just make sure you're taking in enough combined to grow......... ๐
Hmmmm, good question and i'll bet ya get all kinds of answers.IMO the best is a combination of whey and casein for the exact reasons mr.sinister stated.Casein is slower absorbing and whey is great for pre and post workout due to it's faster absorbency time, combine them both and get the best of both worlds there isn't ONE perfect protein,no matter what people may tell ya.
to say whey is superior is like saying tuna is better than chicken. when in reality your body needs a broad spectrum of proteins. generally whey isolates and concentrates absorb quicker in the gut, therefore ideal post workout. i would suggest getting some penta pro from protein factory. which blends five diff kinds of proteins and is tasty. combine with some straight whey and you have roughly all your liquid protein needs ๐
I like the whey before and the mixture of them both post workout!
whey
I get my protein from proteinfactory.com, & I usually get some mixture of all three.
Definitly Whey with higher protein grams!@!
