Women dread 30 becasuse, particularly if they have been babes in thier teens and 20s, they realize that there is a younger crowd behind them that will be getting all the attention. For men, it is a different story. We may age, but we also increase in knowledge, compassion and earning power. Hence, more younger women with older guys. More and more "coyotes" around because there are more older businesswomen with money who can hok on to younger atractive guys. But, for the most part, the crap we have gotten from women in out teen and 20s all gets repaid when we get into our 30s, 40s and 50s. I don't compete with the younger guys, I don't have to. I just steal thier girlfriends. I get constant grief from, particularly American, women for dating younger foreign women. I smile and usually say that I do because I can. I have enough (which isn't that much) that I am not forced to hook up with hags my age who do nothing but complain, sit in front of the tv and talk on the phone.
You've got to do what ever makes you happy..but it would bee wise to compromise. For instance, try compacting a workout regiment if you can. Quick compound sets moving from exercise to another and then a quick run, I bet you could get a decent routine down to under an hour, resistance and cardio combined. Would keep you reasonably healthy, muscular and take little time. Good luck whatever path you choose Bro.
Hi all im new to this place.. and just posted a more life issue... Guys im turning 30 in 3 months.. And honselty... i dont really know what to expect.. Im not happy or sad.. just normal.. I mean its just a number.. but trying to keep the muscle mass on had only been harder as we are all aware here.. 11 years of training and although i have enjoyed every minute of it.. Ive been thinking i should hang it all up in 3 months and live a "NORMAL" life and just enjoy it wihtou having to time meal/think about muscle catabolization and stay in shape (do cycles here and there).. etc etc U guys get my gist.. Most of my mates who live non BB lives seem i guess more at ease with theior busy lives.. inc kids without having to sleep right/eat right Sorry about the rant... ๐ Listen my Aussie friend. Heres some advice. Its only 30. You shouldnt feel anything at all. You're still very young and you have your health and thats all that matters. When you hit 50, then you can start worrying ๐ Enjoy your life my friend ๐
38 soon to be 39 If I was about to turn 30 again. Knowing what I know now.....:frusty: I would have spent more time on core and stabalizer work and more importantly prevenative back work. Mainly forms of inversion to decompress my spine from the load of daily lifting.. Sik
I was pissin and moaning about approaching 40 not long ago so I feel your pain but I looked back and am happy to be where I am today Your gut will tell you what to do there is no shame in stopping to smell the roses...at 36 I was in the best shape of my life (5'10 99kg and 11% fat)...I started traing at 29 for fear of turning 30. at this stage I just stopped and did pretty much nothing for 3 years(except chase a couple of kids around) I didnt get fat was not any sort of diet just made sure I didnt eat too much crap. I have just started again and am still starting from a better base than I did at 29..... the other plus as Neverbig Enuf touched on is that the older you get the bigger spectrum of women you seem to have a choice of.......... and if all this doesnt pick you up just remember...YOUR ONLY AS OLD AS THE WOMAN YOUR FEELING!!!!!>>>>
Yup turning 30 has that big psychological impact. I turned 30 and that oh man I'm officially old. I'm glad that alot of the bad parts of my youth are behind me though. 30 helps to put things into perspective. You start considering what is really important and what isn't. Your only as old as you feel. Try not to sweat it.
Geez, wait until the 40's and 50's are coming at you, wish I was turning 30 again.
