hi guys, im confused on what olive oil can do to me if i take carbs throughout the day with it. im 6'5 240-245lbs.....11% BF.....i wanna keep on adding more lean muscle without putting on fat. i have 6 meals a day with 60grams of protein in each meal. i've been told to add 2 tbsps of olive oil in each meal to add calories without having to eat bad foods like simple carbs. How many carbs can i get away with eating if im taking in the protein and fats from olive oil??? thanks guys
How ever many you can eat without getting fat, but while still making gains. Seriously man, while I know that wasn't the response you wanted, that about sums it up. You just have to figure out what your current daily caloric intake is, and bump it up a few hundred calories. Olive oil is great, it has good fats and antioxident properties, but don't forget that it is fat. 1 tbsp has 14 grams to be exact. So, if you're gonna add 2 to each meal, that's 168 grams of fat daily, just from the oil, which is over 1500 calories. You will have to adjust your carb intake substantially. I think a better option would be to just supplement with a couple tbsp daily, without changing anything else. That will give you your extra calories, without consuming 200 grams of fat daily.
okay but at my 6'5 245lbs frame. at 11%bf.....i think i need more tbsps of olive oil......i have to take in 3500 calories a day. should i be taking in more tbsps of olive oil and less carbs??

Why not eat good carbs? you never said how much carbs your take in or fat. 3500 calories at your size isn't really enough of anything. I'm 216 12% 6' and i take in 4400 calories a day and haven't gained much fat.
3500 calories a day probably isn't enough. I have to take in 4000 a day to stay over 180lb at about 8% BF. You need to make sure you get your protein in (it sounds like you are) and then eat, eat and eat some more. Remember, calories are really the most important factor when trying to bulk. Keep increasing your calories daily until you find a point where you are maximizing muscle gains with minimum (notice I didnt say NO) fat gain.
okay, besides the olive oil.....what else contains alot of healthy AND plenty amount of calories that i can consume without having to have a 3-course meal 8 times a day?
Have you tried MCT oil? It's about 118 calories per Tbsp. You can add it to almost anything.
