Hey guys, i been training for about 8 months now..so pretty fresh to the whole body building thing. I have made some decent beginner gains, but i think my diet is holding me back..i work shit hours like in the middle of the night and dont get a break at work so its also hard to prepare food during that time..do u guys have any sort of diets that u follow that either doesnt take much preperation or can pre prepare so it makes it easy to follow...i was thinking of trying to eat around about the same things everyday so it will be a bit eaiser to prepare for...i aint on any juice at the moment if that makes a difference...any help would be much appreciated...oh im looking at bulking but not a massive amount....
When I have trouble finding time to eat, drinking down a high calorie meal replacement shake is my best option and this may work for you when you are working.
I like to cook most of my meals just twice a week and then package them in some plastic containers in the fridge. This makes my life much easier since preparation only takes a couple days of the week.
but what sort of meals are u having? im looking for ideas for what to actually eat?
As shock said a high cal shake will help you out in a fix. I also cook up a shitload of rice/pasta etc. and divy up my meals for the next fewdays. As for what to eat, Lots of food... mix your meats up, mince, chicken breast, tuna, kangaroo, steak, eggs.... lots of milk and cheese... for carbs primarily rice, pasta, potato or sweet potato, wholemeal or rye bread... lots of veges. Add the odd kfc, pizza, maccas whatever kind of junk food you want. Eat at least 1g protein per pound of bodyweight.
You could buy some protein/ meal replacement bars if you can stand to eat them.
But my question is: where do you work where you dont get breaks??

Yah, sounds like a slavery position! If you cant take 15 seconds to eat every few hours, your in the wrong line of work!
i do have time to eat....but i dont have time to prepare meals is what i mean...i spose if i had shit ready at home i could just take it to work and eat it then...

Preperation is 9/10ths the law in bodybuilding land
!
You'll never be successful if you dont prepare properly!
Amen.

I hate to break it to you, but there is no easy way to get results. It takes a lot of hard work.
So here are a few ways to make things easier on yourself.
A) Try to cook protein (chicken/beef/porc/etc) in batches of 6-8 meals. Personally I do 4 meals as this covers 2 days of 7.5 work hours. The other meals I make and eat at home.
B) Buy canned vegetables and bring a can opener to work.
C) Get whole wheat bread (make sure its low GI whole wheats).
D) Cook rice in a big pot and seperate it in ziploc bags. So that each ziploc bag is a portion.
E) Get bars and/or protein shakes to cover when you are too lazy to make something.
BBing is about 75% nutrition. Make sure you are getting enough sleep as well.
Oh and stay away from AAS until you build yourself a good foundation. The first thing built for a house isn't the roof.

Ahhhhhh, so that's what i've been doing wrong. I told my wife I'd have the house built by next fall as well 🙁
Tell me about it, I started building my house in December of 2000, and it was Sept of 2001 before I was done. For those 10 months it was nothing but get up, go to work, come home, go to the new house work till midnight, go home, go to bed, repeat. I will NEVER do that again.
