HEy all, As the title says i am sick of eating tuna and can only force myself to eat it, but it is pretty cheap. Is there a better alternative?? Also i have been thinking of eating beef mince rather than buying expensive steaks, what do u's reckon?? Advice would be much appreciated.

I buy a few cartons of egg whites per week and powdered skim milk. Mix one cup of egg whites with 2 scoops of powdered milk , some water and ovaltine for taste. Gives about 45 grams of top quality protein at about $1.30 per serve and tastes nice. Oh yeh , I also force dowm tuna.Try sticking some onion and garlic with it and dress it in some vinegar.

there are several ways to mask the nasty taste of tuna. One is to add fat free catalina salad dressing to it, kills the taste. And I also put a can in a beef strogenoff t.v. dinner, makes it taste like tuna helper.. also bout a 600 calorie meal... Cowboy

The is a new recipe forum on bolex, with crap loads of great high protien meal ideas!!! Give it a read. And extra lean ground beef is great for a change...its beter then steaks, cause u can make it ahead of time and reheat...reheated steak is almost unedible.

Try mixing some diet lite soup in with the tuna, works for me and can be used right up to a show.Just go for the flavours with lower sodium.

Sick of tuna, but don't care about taste and just want to get it down fast??? Just blend it with some water and drink it, gone in two seconds, just like a fishy drink, only chewy!!!

Mix a can into a can of campbells chunky beef and vegie soup. Has pretty low fat, low gi carbs and give a great taste with another 15-20gms of protein.

lol. reheated steak still tastes pretty damn good to me. better than tuna straight out of can. tuna patties are the go. Make them for the whole week and freeze. Add spices, onions, egg whites, chillies to the patties. yumm. Man, i gotta make some this week.
